Phoebe also served on the Board of Alumnae Association serving as President from 1983-1986. She became a Member of the Board of Trustees from 1983–1989 and Chair of Trustees from 1989–1994. In 1996, Phoebe was honored with the John M. Greene award for her years of service to the college.

Phoebe died on January 26, 2024.
